This past Memorial Day weekend we took time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice; we paid our respects to our honored dead. Many from the San Francisco Commandery took part in leading the annual ceremony at the USS San Francisco Memorial on Sunday while others gathered at National Cemeteries on Monday for events held at these sites. Here we relive history, remember lost friends, and celebrate the true meaning of sacrifice. It is the least we can do to keep our fallen comrade’s memory alive, and to celebrate our freedoms in their names.
