Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony

The Companions of the Texas Commandery will hold our annual Pearl Harbor Commemoration Ceremony onboard the Galveston Naval Museum at 11:00 AM, 7 December 2019.

Other ceremony participants will be the Naval Sea Cadets, the Community Band of Southeast Texas, the Southeast Texas Patriot Guard Riders, and a U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard for a gun salute.

Due to the closure of the Battleship Texas, our event has moved to Seawolf Park in Galveston.  Easiest access is I-45 South, first exit after the bridge, left onto Harborside Drive, left onto Pelican Island and drive to the end of the road.

Immediately after the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony, you are invited to join others for a no-host lunch on board the USS Stewart located on the museum grounds.  We will have a private dining area so that attending Companions and our guests, the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors, will have an opportunity to meet, greet, and visit. There is limited seating for about 40 people, so this a reservation-only luncheon on a first come, first serve basis.  The lunch will be buffet-style, consisting of the following items, catered by Soul2Soul Café of Galveston:

Meatloaf w/ Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

Fried Baby Back Ribs

Fried Catfish

Fried Wings

Green Beans

Potato Salad

Corn

Peach Cobbler

Muffins

Price for the buffet-style luncheon is $30.

Lunch reservations will NOT be made without prior payment. There is no at-the-door payment. Phone call or email reservations will not be accepted. Any reservations received after we reach the maximum number will be returned with regrets. The cutoff date for canceling after paying is December 2 after which there will be no refunds. 

This is a great opportunity to support your Commandery and honor the heroes that survived as well as those that lost their lives.
